When we first saw this plot we fell in love. Nargate st is a picture post card village scene with the beautiful little stour river flowing parallel to it. The plot is south facing and beyond the river at the bottom of the garden is protected farmland – a stunning scene to look out onto – especially early in the morning with the beautiful sun rises that we began to rely on whilst building. The house design is unique for the road with the architect opting for modern design in an otherwise traditional street; using a similar footprint to the original bungalow; it is also deceptive with many people commenting that they thought it was still a bungalow when looking from the front. When through the front door the house feels tardis like; opening up to a light filled open plan, dual aspect living space; that leads to the sunny kitchen/breakfast room overlooking the large garden.
